Several years ago, we were regular visitors to the old Rinconcito which was here and so we were excited to see that Pez Lola had opened in its place. It’s in beautiful location directly overlooking the beach at Costabella with perfect clear view to sunset, La Concha and the coast of Marbella.
The Yum: There are very few tapa-sized dishes but as we were two, we shared everything enabling us to have a lovely casual dinner. Very spanish, very typical chiringuito, delicious calamares, good olives, pepper salad, fried aubergines with cane honey, yummy red caribiñero prawn risotto, beautifully presented and mid priced.
The Fizz: We started with two tall glasses of Spanish Vermouth and moved on to wine by the glass. Special mention for the Monopol dry Moscatel of which Yumfizz is a great fan. Lots of good wines to choose from as well as ice cold beer (perfect for a hot summer day.
The Rest: There are sun beds to rent here so you can easily spend the day. Cocktails too. The music was particularly good, chilled tunes. All in all, cool, casual and trendy. We liked it a lot. Important – they don’t use Facebook. Insta yes, and they also answer the phone for reservations. Definitely one to add to the list.
Yumfizz rating: For a casual but stylish evening dinner on the beach 10/10.
